Beauty Secrets For Radiant Skin

Follow a Good Skin Care Routine

A regular skin care routine with products that you trust and are free of heavy chemicals will provide a good canvas in which to secure the foundation. If you do not already have skin care products of this quality   click here.

VRAI Cosmetics

The cosmetic industry has gotten away with releasing products laden with harsh, toxic chemicals. This is a problem given that the average woman uses 12 personal care products each day.
You deserve better.

At its core, clean beauty is beauty without compromising by putting harsh and toxic ingredients on your skin. It requires being informed about what’s on an ingredient label and choosing cosmetics that are in line with your standards. The difference between regular beauty products and clean beauty products comes down to the ingredients.

Safe beauty products are free from potentially harmful ingredients such as parabens, petrochemicals, and synthetic fragrances just to name a few. They are made with plant-based ingredients, responsibly sourced, and humanely tested. Safe beauty is natural, toxin-free beauty, plain and simple. Safe Beauty is here to stay.
Here is my recommendation for a high quality clean beauty cosmetic line.
Below are some VRAI favorites for when you are choosing a no-makeup look or full-blown glamour.

Get Good Quality Rest, Eat Right, Stay Hydrated, Exercise

Sleep Protects the Skin
You probably know that you need seven to nine hours of sleep a night to feel your very best the next day. Some people call this "beauty sleep" which is not a myth.

“The value of sleep with regard to beauty is that it gives your skin time to rebuild itself,” said Karin Olszewski, RN, of Samaritan Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery. “All day your skin is a barrier that protects you from light, pollution, germs, dryness, wetness and more. When you sleep, your skin has a chance to regenerate and get ready for tomorrow.”

Eat RightNutrients for Healthy Skin

  • Healthy Fats. This is how your skin gets its "glow." Too little fat in your diet can make your skin wrinkled and dry.
  • Protein. Your body turns the proteins you eat into building blocks called amino acids and reuses them to make other proteins, including the collagen and keratin that form the structure ...
  • Vitamin A. ...
  • Vitamin C. ...
Stay Hydrated
Our skin is the body’s main defense against external factors like pollutants, micro-organisms, and UV rays.  In order for our skin to effectively reflect and release toxins and other harmful elements, we need to focus on improving and maintaining skin hydration, which is key to maintaining skin’s strength and structure. It is a good rule to drink 1/2 your bodies weight in oz's of water. Excellent for just our skin but also our overall health.

Exercise for Healthy Skin
Regular exercise is one of the keys to healthy skin.
Anything that promotes healthy circulation also helps keep your skin healthy and vibrant," says dermatologist Ellen Marmur, MD, author of Simple Skin Beauty: Every Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Healthy, Gorgeous Skin and associate professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
By increasing blood flow, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital. "Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body, including the skin," says Marmur. In addition to providing oxygen, blood flow also helps carry away waste products, including free radicals, from working cells. "You can think of it as cleansing your skin from the inside."

Stay away from the Sun

If you want to protect your skin health a good rule of thumb is to limit sun exposure. This will protect skin health and prevent skin cancer. So best to avoid  prolonged time in the sun, and choose to be in the shade rather than in direct sunlight. Wear protective clothing and sunglasses, and use sunscreen between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunscreen is especially important at that time, when the sun’s rays are most intense. Here is an excellent Mineral sunscreen. It will protect your skin, and  protect the earth.  Having a natural sunscreen you can count on means more fun outdoors without worrying about sunburn or the intrusion of toxic chemicals into your bloodstream.

This sunscreen is sweat- and water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, so your workout or time at the pool is well protected.
Like we mentioned before, this mineral sunscreen formulation is made with pure, naturally derived ingredients and is free of avobenzone, oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, PABA and 1,4-dioxane, UV chemical absorbers, artificial colors, and synthetic fragrances.
We’re very proud that this sunscreen has the Skin Cancer Foundation’s seal of approval for daily use.
Our Mineral Sunscreen was dermatologist reviewed to smooth onto skin without a white residue. No more blue tinge or white cast to your zinc sunscreen!
